I buy a pocket knife, serrated or plain edged one?
only planning to carry it around, or for working wood w / it. Also, if I get one I get something w / woodsaw like a hand Trekker (Swiss Army).
Jagged edges are great for cutting the rope, belts and such, but not too good at work fine. I have one with a serrated at the base and friction in the last 3 / 4 's. It works well for me.
