Katana construction was the labour-intensive bladesmithing process developed in Japan for forging katana and other Japanese blades. Katana and wakizashi were often forged with different profiles, different blade thicknesses, and varying amounts of grind. Wakizashi were not simply scaled-down katana; they were often forged in hira-zukuri or other such forms which were very rare on katana. The daish…

Valentine’s Sword!

If I were to be an officer in the Army, would be capable of carrying a sword Wakizashi with my team?

I was reading an article on Wikipedia about Jack Churchill, an officer of the Second World War has had and kills some with a Claymore sword. I wonder if it would be possible for me to carry and use a sword Wakizashi if I were to be deployed to the Middle East. It was the army or say something against someone? My friends have told me that some men of Special Forces have been some killed with an ax, so I had a little curious … Thank you!

If that is your reason for wanting to be an officer should not be an officer.
