can anyone tell me How the Japan Military Housing look like?
My husband and I are just wondering how the Military housing looks like in Japan?
depends on where you are stationed, most are duplexes or apartment type. depends alot on rank too. we were stationed at camp hansen and they did not have base housing, so we had to rent an apartment out in town. Camp Kadena has the best housing probably.

How can I get stationed in Japan for the military?
I want to join the military, but I want to be stationed in Japan as I do. I speak and understand Japanese. I have been fluid for 2 years. I wonder how I get stationed in Japan, and the service that I the best opportunity?
I am in the Navy and spent 5 years in Japan before moving to the States in 2007 and this June will return at least two years more. The Navy has a large presence in several facilities in Okinawa, Kyushu and Honshu. Previous estimates are out – the only aircraft carrier in Yokosuka has 5,000 sailors board, regardless of ground facilities and other vessels and other bases. The four main services are based in Japan. The Army has the smallest contingent at Camp Zama and there are no major operational Army units based in Japan, so their chances of being assigned are not small. The Marine Corps is almost only in Okinawa. It is important to note that Okinawans speak a different dialect of Japanese from the Tokyo area and there are still people who speak the language Ryukyu there too. There are very few as a translator in the U.S. military bases in Japan. Most of these positions have transitioned to hire local of civilians. Translation for intelligence work are not guaranteed a spot in Japan, either as this type of translation tends to be at an intelligence center, as in Hawaii. Air Force or Navy are your best bets as long as they choose a specialty (enlisted or officer) who is in demand abroad. They also have their bases near Tokyo, which has a much better design and more to do in Okinawa. In general, work related to the "operations" and "support" as maintenance, security, medical, technical, etc, are constantly in demand in a variety of levels of payment. For the Navy, obtaining an assignment in Japan is generally easy if you ask. The only downside would be if they had gotten into trouble, either before or during their service, or had debts – these could mark as unfit for service abroad. Realize also that if you go there through the Navy, is likely to be deployed from Japan to other parts of the Pacific and possibly the Middle East. For example, the Yokosuka Naval Hospital staff contributed to the field hospital in support of the Marines during the invasion of Iraq in 2003.
